By now, you're probably wondering what all the noise is about. After all, a slick brand and a mediocre showreel isn't everything. The purpose of Champion Media is to enable companies and organisations to have video content produced in a way that respects the environment, while working to promote things that could make the world a better place for tomorrow and beyond.
This company isn’t called ‘champion’ because it thinks it’s hot stuff. Sure, it’d be nice to be thought of as that, but it’s not what the name intends to claim. The true narrative behind the title Champion Media is in the greater attempt to champion positive change in our communities, and in New Zealand as a whole.
Based in Auckland, New Zealand, this company is primarily geared towards video production, but also has experience in the fields of photography, visual effects and graphic design, and is prepared to service any location. Champion Media is a young company, but its intentions are true. Founded in 2019 by Joe Canham, CM is prepared to grow and shrink according to your needs.
If it's electronic, has absolutely caked it and needs to be disposed of...
If you're recycling a mobile phone, RE:MOBILE also has a database of locations (there are more locations if it's only a phone).
Before you head on your way, check the facility's website or call them to find out if they'll accept your item, and what the cost may be to leave it with them.
While this map was exhausting to create, it's by no means exhaustive. If you're not seeing an option near you, please do conduct your own research, as many local dumps and refuse transfer stations accept e-waste for recycling.
If you know of something that should be on the map, please let me know.
